What We Believe

"Where God is our Refuge and Strength"

We are a full gospel, or charismatic church. This means we believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of            speaking in tongues, in the power that accompanies it, and the operation of the nine spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit,           according to Acts 1:8, & 1 Corinthians 12:1-11.

History of House of Refuge Church

House of Refuge Church began on April 4, 1999. It started as a Friday night Bible study prior to becoming a church

Our Mission

We are committed to transforming people with the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Vision

That House of Refuge Church would be a place filled with the glory of God.

Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death through His shed blood, His          bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and in His personal return in the power and glory.

We believe the Word of God teaches in John 3:3 that a person must be born again in order to go to heaven.

We believe that following salvation, believers should live holy lives, being empowered to do so by the Holy Spirit who          dwells within.

We stress the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, reading the Bible, and attending        services that challenge us to grow spiritually.
