Jesus is an Anchor for Your Soul
Updated: Apr 2, 2020

When you need comfort, and when you need to feel in control or grounded, go to Jesus and pray. When you need to have things in perfect order, go to Jesus and pray. Sometimes people clean, count, sort, or stress out when they feel anxious or afraid. There's a better way to handle these emotions, and His name is Jesus. He will help you in life, right at the time you feel out of control.
He is the anchor for our souls. Hebrews 6:19 says we have hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. That's Jesus. He keeps us steady. As you reach out to Him instead of other things, such as cleaning, counting, sorting, or stressing when your emotions are getting the best of you, you will see He works. As you continue to do it, it will become a habit, a good one at that. There are benefits from going to Him. One of them is that you get closer to Him in a loving relationship. Another one is that you break habits of trying to find your own way to get your life in order and under control, which are a means to no end.
As you practice going to Jesus in prayer, it will end anxiousness and fear getting the best of you.
