Don't Miss Your Opportunity

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

Have you ever been late for something or just missed it altogether? That's the way it's going to be for some people when it comes to Jesus. The Bible talks about this group of people in Matthew 24:30. It proclaims,"And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."

The deep mourning will be because of the sorrow in their hearts. You see, at that moment, when they see Jesus, they are going to realize they are too late. As I read about Jesus in the gospels, it's apparent; all He ever wanted was for people to believe. It doesn't seem too hard of a thing to do, yet for some it is the hardest. We live in a culture where the only thing we believe in is what we can see. Isn't it funny that faith in Jesus is just the opposite? We believe without seeing.

Rather than being late or missing Jesus altogether, it would be better for a person to believe and be right than to not believe and be wrong, in my opinion. When the opportunity of believing in Him is gone, it's gone. With that being said, it's needless to say but must be said, today is your opportunity to believe in Jesus. (Acts 16:31) "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved."
